I.Family Study – Estonia
The I.Family study is a continuation of our previous study Identification and prevention of dietary- and lifestyle-induced health effects in children and infants (IDEFICS) carried out 2006-2011.
The objectives of the new I.Family study are to enhance knowledge in the development of risk factors of chronic diseases and identification of lifestyle, psychosocial, behavioral, genetic and dietary factors and of their interactions in follow-up studies of already established children cohorts to understand causal pathways in the development of diseases.
The study starts in April, 2013 and will last for approximately a year. The participants are recruited from Tallinn and Tartu – participants of the former IDEFICS study and their family members will be invited to participate.
