In memoriam: Professor Jane Wardle

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Professor Jane Wardle last month, a distinguished member of the I.Family Stakeholder Advisory Board.

Professor Wardle was Director of Cancer Research UK’s Health Behaviour Research Centre at University College London. She was renowned for her extensive research in health psychology and on diet and physical activity, as well as on health behaviour interventions.

Several years ago Professor Wardle wrote movingly about her diagnosis of leukemia.

There have been many tributes to her in the weeks since her death, including by colleagues at Cancer Research UK, the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity and University College London.

We would like to express our great admiration for her work and our deepest sympathy to her family.
