I.Family coming to ESOF 2016!
We’re delighted to announce that the I.Family Study will play a key role in the official scientific programme at next month’s EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) – against tough competition!
Almost 300 applications were received by the ESOF panel, with only 100 eventually approved.
I.Family will run a ‘mindfulness’ workshop called “Think health: a mindful approach to wellbeing”, exploring the relationship between mental awareness, food choice & physical activity.
Project representatives from across the I.Family spectrum of research will lead the workshop. They’ll be sharing what has been learned in I.Family through harnessing scientific data to measure the impact of lifestyle and food choices on the health of European families, particularly adolescents.
ESOF is Europe’s largest interdisciplinary science meeting, attracting huge audiences from 90 countries, including academics, policy players, journalists, students and the general public.
“ESOF is a prestigious event attended by the leading thinkers, innovators and decision makers from across Europe, so this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the valuable research being carried out by I.Family partners and raise the project’s profile,” says Rhonda Smith, communications partner for I.Family.
ESOF 2016 will take place in Manchester, UK, from July 23rd to 27th.
